Technically this isn’t a Winter painting. This past November, it had snowed overnight and by the following morning had created this winter looking setting, but with abundant sunlight and the warming daytime temperatures, the snow was gone by evening.
I did this painting as a potential four season companion piece to “Morning Haze, Glen Miller Park,” that I had painted of the same location in the park this past May, but did it from standing in a slightly different spot that offered this altered viewpoint of he pool of water, as compared to the previous mentioned painting.
As before, I enjoyed making this painting by using a painting knife, with minimal use of a brush.
Note:
This painting and its companion piece, “Morning Haze, Glen Miller Park,” are now in the permanent art collection of the Randolph County Art Association, of Indiana.
