European Beech

I had just finished printing an image of an American Beech when I thought about making a companion piece as it were, and this European Beech came to mind. This is another large and majestic tree on campus and is located not far from the American Beech tree, of which the upper limbs can be seen in the background of the print.
Like the other “Beech” print this one was painted directly on the plate with Burnt Siena and Cerulean Blue oil paint, reduced with oil of cloves.
